This weeks fish art entry:
I started off with the intention of making this as realistic as possible, but after the third iteration and fourth erasing of scales… I just let it flow! And after 2 weeks from when I started, I wrapped it up this morning, during a bout of fur kid induced insomnia.
The original of this is available directly through me. Christmas present for the favorite saltwater fly fisher in your life? Ping me through the Contact page to get all the information and price. Or prints will be available on Etsy soon.
I’m sorry about the lack of post as of late, but with a long Thanksgiving road trip to see the family, and the holiday cards being a minor success, and a serious lack fly fishing time. The creativity has taken a back seat on the ride of this thing we call life. And to top that off, I’ve also accepted a new job with the City of Georgetown, TX. I start there Dec, 10 and my last day at TXDOT was yesterday. The job change is a great opportunity for me, and with it being MUCH closer to home, hopefully more time can be made for the Fly Feeshin‘! So this morning, I start 9 days off and am looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities that await me on the professional front!
With that, I’ll leave you with a quote from my favorite Robert Earl Keen song, Dreadful Selfish Crime…
It all comes down, to living fast or dying slow!
Never be afraid to put yourself out there! Get Out In It…
